BOOMKAT
Another priceless transmission from the brilliant Metrolux label for those of you who just can't get enough of the deep, fuzzed-out techno produced by the likes of Deepchord, Substance, Vainqueur, Murmur and the Mojuba imprint. The mysterious Atheus so far only has one other release under his belt - a limited whitelabel for the highly sought-after Styrax offshoot Millions of Moments, but judging by this immense twelve there's gonna be a lot of fuss surrounding this guy in the coming months. Of course, the style here will be instantly familiar to you if you've been following the work of any of the above producers, but the execution here is flawless with a reverberating space echo dominating proceedings as the dub develops the further into "Decaedra" you get. If the a-side borrows from the classic stylings of Main Street's "Find a Way", the flipside is more velvety and effects-laden, unfolding into a delay-ridden skank that's just endlessly deep. Extremely limited copies and really very good - hurry!

Montreal based Atheus strikes back with his powerful space echo laden dub techno signature on Side Effex. Metrolux welcomes well known Artist Arne Weinberg. His Midas Touch is a well balanced analogue detroit sound meets dub excursion. On the flipside XDB drops two new tunes for his own imprint. Jet has a deep subtle 909 rhythm, and synth horns…Jack! Rising Sun is a string laden timeless piece of deepness. Trax for your body and soul!!!
Another truly outstanding album from ASC. Love every single track, but 'Half the Words You Say' and 'Behind The Veil' are definitely my favourite tracks. Both remind me of Clint Mansell’s "Fountain" score. Miguel Ferreira
A conceptual ambient album about geometric shapes, the songs on “The Fifth Floor” are as soothing as they are alluring. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 21, 2022
Very minimal and gentle ambient/drone from a relatively recently discovered source that will likely end up among World of Sleepers (Carbon Based Lifeforms) and Movements ( Solar Fields) as a genre staple. Steven Aanonson
